50 questions · 90 min

pass 3000 / 1000-6000
AOS 6.10 · PC pc2024.2
valid 3 years
Format
- 50 questions in 90 minutes: multiple-choice and multiple-response. Multiple-response questions tell you how many to select.
- Scaled scoring 1000-6000; pass at 3000. Questions are blueprint-weighted, so raw percentage is only a proxy.
- Four sections: Lifecycle Management, Basic Administration, Environmental Health, Cluster Configuration.
- Aimed at roughly 6-12 months of IT-infrastructure experience, ideally with Nutanix.
Register and schedule
- Register through university.nutanix.com (free MyNutanix account). Cost is $99; discounts/vouchers appear periodically.
- Delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test center.
- Recommended free prep courses: Nutanix Hybrid Cloud Fundamentals (NHCF) and Enterprise Cloud Administration (ECA).
- The certification is valid for 3 years (Nutanix moved from 2 to 3 years on August 1, 2025).
Online proctoring checklist
- Quiet, well-lit, private room; cleared desk, no notes, no second monitor, no phones.
- Working webcam and microphone, stable internet.
- Government-issued photo ID.
- Run the system/network check ahead of time; proctoring software glitches are a known frustration, so schedule with margin.
In-room tactics
- Flag and move on. If unsure, flag it; a later question often jogs the answer. Do not burn time early.
- Read multiple-response counts. Select exactly the number asked.
- Process of elimination. The NCA is not gotcha-heavy; eliminate the clearly wrong options first.
- Watch the classic traps: HA (restart) vs Live Migration (no-downtime move); policy lives on the container not the pool; RF2 = 3 nodes, RF3 = 5 nodes; LCM does software AND firmware.
If you do not pass
- Nutanix typically enforces a waiting period before a retake. Use it: drill the weakest section from your mock-exam breakdown rather than rushing back.
